Duties and Responsibilities of the Marmara University, University-Industry Cooperation Development Application and Research Center (Marmara UNSIMER):

a) To encourage, increase, and organize cooperation between the university, industry, business world, and civil society organizations; to share applicable results with relevant sectors; to monitor existing collaboration between the university and the business world; to conduct efforts that will ensure its expansion, evaluation, and to develop new cooperation models; to prepare strategic reports; and to coordinate cooperation between the university's relevant units and the business world.

b) To be a regional center in entrepreneurship and technology transfer activities at the university, ensuring the transformation of the accumulated knowledge at the university into production while safeguarding the intellectual property rights of university researchers.

c) To collaborate with industrial organizations and other private and public institutions, conducting analyses and measurements for solving technical problems; providing scientific support for technology development and implementation projects, contributing to the regional and national economy.

ç) To organize research and development activities in fundamental and applied fields conducted by the university for the contribution to the economic and social development of Turkiye, primarily in the Marmara Region, within a centralized organizational framework; to create a competitive, creative, and efficient research and educational environment.

d) To carry out research and development, design, and innovation projects within the scope of university-industry collaboration.

e) To contribute to the development of the university's collaboration with public institutions, the private sector, and international organizations.
